Located where it is likely the original kitchen of the slab hut would have been situated. This oven was originally built at Blenheim in 1931 and made from ant bed nest mud (or termite mound mud) and it was used until 1945 for baking bread. It has been used for baking scones and damper at previous special events at the village but requires to be kept unused now to preserve the oven. It has been recognized by the Qld Museum as being of National Significance and is one of the best preserved examples of its type in Australia.
